The missing 5th Dimension. The Dimension of Density.
Why is it the Dimension of Density?
Normally density is a property of matter, so why am I claiming that it is the missing 5th Dimension.
It is because I am claiming that Matter, Energy and 'Real' Space all have a common denominator and are just constructs of just one multidimensional dynamic unit I call the 'APE'.
This unit at the subatomic level and below has fixed Dimensions, and it is its interactions with itself and other units that creates our Universe and everything in it at our level (and all other levels).
As I am explaining the missing 5th Dimension I will explain how something that has a fixed Density can create Energy and Matter of different densities at our scales.
Remember that all Dimensions are intrinsically linked together and none are independent of each other (explained in another Tea Break Book), so the Density is linked to the other Space and Time Dimensions.
To better visualise and understand it, let us scale everything up and simplify it.
Imagine an empty box (a 'Real' box, eg. Cardboard box). Imagine it has nothing in it (no air, no Energy, no Matter) it has no temperature inside the box either, it is totally empty and it has no 'Real' Space in it either. It only has an abstract Space in it, to place things in. The abstract Space is only defined by the box itself. If the box did not exist then you could not define this empty space, as you would not have any reference in which to define it. Without the box you could not even detect that there was a Space.
Now imagine I place something inside the box (I am not going to tell you what at this stage, but it is something you can define and you will know it is there).
You now know that the box is no longer empty, it is more than just abstract Space (because we put something in it).
What is now in the box?
If I say from our point of view it occupies all the box, and if we remove the box it will occupy the same abstract Space that was in the box.
Then what is in the box, even if the box did not exist?
You know it is not totally empty, therefore it is not an abstract space, I say this is 'Real' Space (explained in an other Tea Break Book).
At this stage there is no conventional Energy or Matter in the box. But I said at the beginning that all Space, Energy and Matter were composed of the same basic fundamental units, and I also said that one of these dimensions was Density. So if there is at least one of these units in the box, then this Space must have a Density.
What is this Density?
Is it the Density of Space itself?
As always I say it is yes and no, depending on your point of view. It is the Density of the 'Real' Space that we have created and defined, but it is not the actual Density of the 'Real' unit that created this Space and Density!
What!?
I will explain further. The Density of the first Space we defined is the overall average density of that space, but how was this created? (I.e. The space inside the box).
Let us go back to the normal usage of density with respect to matter. If we have a 'real' box full of something it will occupy a certain space (volume) and it will have a certain weight (actually a mass) and we calculate its density by the ratio of the mass to the volume. Different things in the box will have different densities, but we can increase the density of something by compressing it. I.e. reducing the size of the box, but keeping the same amount of stuff in it. In effect the more that is in the box the greater the density is.
Let us suppose we do not know what is in the box (but the box is full of feathers) we can still calculate the overall density of the space occupied by the box. We can compress this box and increase the density, the same number of feathers inside, but now we have two different densities.
Let us now suppose we have another box, we still don't know what it has inside (but this time the box is lined inside with a thin layer of lead) we can still calculate the overall density of the space inside the box as before, and we can also increase the density by compressing the box, again we have two different densities but the same amount of stuff in the box.
Now if we never know what is in the boxes we can create two boxes of equal overall density (it could be feathers, lead or some feathers and lead mixed). The reason we can do this is because some of the box is empty, once the empty space starts to fill up, it gets progressively harder to increase the density. (Space around the feathers or air inside the lead lining).
Now let us go back to our 'Real' Space. It also has empty space inside it, that is defined by the thing that is in the box. If we could compress this space the density would increase. If we could squeeze all the empty space out so that there was no more empty space left inside we would reach the maximum density that this Space could occupy (we are assuming that what this Space is made of itself can not be compressed any further). This final Density is the Density of 'Real' Space itself, the Density of the one unit that we placed inside the box. This Density is fixed (as is the other Space and Time dimensions at this level, another Tea Break Book). What is important is that this Density creates all other densities of all things that are created by these units of space (similar to feathers and lead boxes).
It is the distribution of these units in time and space that creates these densities within the space.
You need to look at the structure of 'Real' Space itself and its movements (the 'APE's) to see how this is done (you guessed another Tea Break Book), but in essence the structure is such that it compresses and decompressed itself and turns itself inside out.
It is the driving force of all forces. Dark Energy is these 'APE's. When combined with other units it creates Energy so you can have a space with Dark Energy and normal Energy in the same space (like feathers and lead) and when combined further they create Matter, again all within the same overall space the Universe.
Because they compress and decompress themselves they also compress and decompress space around them, as does Energy and Matter but by differing amounts (you need to understand the mechanism, another Tea Break Book).
In this way the Universe can expand in total and contract at specific points (maximum at Black holes) at the same overall ³Time (global Time or Tertiary time) all without creating nor destroying any 'APE's past present or future. (Other Tea Break Books explain further).

Another way to look at the 5th Dimension, is image that it is another additional space dimension.
The way to imagine it, is to think of a room with one door as the entrance/exit. You open the door and you see it is chock a block full of cardboard boxes. You get some help to empty the room of the cardboard boxes. You measure the room from the outside and work out the 3D volume of the room.
You do the same for the cardboard boxes, and you find that it is the exact same volume of the room.
When you go back into the room you notice that there are 4 doors inside, one you came into the room with, but there are 3 other doors, one on each of the remaining walls. You open one of these other doors and notice it is chock a block full of cardboard boxes. You call out to your friend and say there are more boxes in here, there is an adjoining room in here. They say there can't be! There is no room for an adjoining room. Anyway you empty the adjoining room of the extra cardboard boxes, and the same is true of the other 2 doors. When all the rooms inside are empty, you measure everything from the inside and find that the 3D volume is 4 times the 3D volume from the outside. Also the volume of all the cardboard boxes is also now 4 times the 3D volume of the outside.
What happened?
Someone says it's simple, the room is 5 dimensional, it has an extra dimension inside the room.
[I say 5 dimensional, because we skipped the current 4th dimension of Time].
You say, what! How can that be?
Simple they say, all the boxes outside that are 3D can fit into the 5D room.
You then say, that is not an explanation, that is a statement!
So how can you visualise this, or make more sense out of it?
Imagine you are GOD (Grand Original Designer, if you are not religious).
Anyway also imagine that there are beings that can live on a 2 dimensional plane.
From your point of view it is the surface of a piece of paper. You listen to these beings trying to make sense of an additional dimension. Their room is a square with one door on the outside, but on the inside of the square, there are 4 doors. Now their equivalent to our boxes is just smaller squares spread on the floor of their square flat room. When they have finished emptying all the square rooms on the inside they find that there is 4 times the area of little squares than the square of the room from the outside. One of them gives a similar explanation as the one above, but says inside the square there must be a 3rd dimension so you can fit more 2D squares inside.
You intervene and say yes there is a 3rd dimension.
How can that be? is their surprised exclamation.
Simple, you say, I will show you, you get all their flat pieces of paper (that represents their little squares) which is 4 times the area of their square room. You then scrunch that total area and squeeze it into their square room. It fits into their room because you have bent and buckled the paper into the 3rd dimension, so from your point of view everywhere outside their square room is flat paper, but inside their room the paper rises up and down like little hills and valleys.
They enter the room, but because they are 2 dimensional they can only travel on the surface of the paper (up and down the hills and valleys) they have no notion of up and down. They see the inside is 4 times the area of the outside and they say "that is not an explanation, it is just a statement!".
From the above example you can see the 3rd dimension, a) because you can experience it, but b) which is more important, that the space has been bent or deformed to fit into the smaller space.
As GOD you could see all the empty space above and below the paper surface, so you had no difficulty in bending into that extra empty space.
So if I tell you we do not live in an abstract space that is solid 3D, and that 'Real' space has empty spaces inside this abstract cube, that we can scrunch lots of our current 3D volumes into, then you should be able to better see this in action. Think of it as compressing 'Real' bits of space, to fit into a smaller 3D space.
What are you actually doing to the space?
If there is something in this space, then surely you are increasing the density of this space.
In other words you can put lots of bits of space in the same volume, the more space you have in the same 3D volume means you are increasing the density of that 3D space.
(Now we are assuming that 'Real' space has some form of a density, which I claim it has).
Therefore it is easy to see Energy density in a 'Real' space, or Matter density in a 'Real' space, or both Energy and Matter density in the same 'Real' space.
In simplistic terms Energy is the equivalent of the scrunched up paper, that wants to spread out (expand) and Matter is even more scrunched than Energy, so much so that it is stable and doesn't want to spread out (in actual fact there is a mechanism that makes it want to contract even further (I.e.contract). This mechanism is Gravity, so Energy wants to expand 3D space and Matter wants to contract 3D space. (When you average this {crunching} curving 3D space you can get spacetime).
[I explain the actual mechanism in another Tea Break Book].
