Random or Chaotic.
In the 'Real' Universe nothing is purely random as in the pure mathematical sense. I.e. things do not happen just by sheer chance without causal effect.
Things are chaotic because you cannot follow all the individual pieces of the puzzle all at the same time. You can calculate probabilities based on this chaos so that it appears to be random, but it is not random.
People that think things are purely random are just ignorant of the causal effects that makes things appear random.
So if a quantum physicist believes things just appear or disappear out of random quantum fluctuations in the vacuum, he is just ignorant of any mechanism that makes this appear so.
They believe that light photons reflect on a glass plate to ....... I never finished this sentence and cannot remember what I was going to say. If I do ever remember I will continue it.
